Menu has both chinese and english located in the restaurant.
Came here on Sunday morning. It’s a HK style cafe with plenty of typical breakfast choices. Places is clean with quick services. Food are pretty decent and comparable with the price. Cash only
Large portions, decent value for fast casual chinese cafe food
Food is pretty good. Every dish come with a drink. Very spacious too, easy to get a table. Only downside is waitresses are forgetful. We have to ask them 3 times to get extra bowl for our kid
Went here at 4~ for early dinner. They were already busy but wasn't hard to get a seat. They were busy, but the servers were still nice. They seemed to be having a good time.Got flat noodles and Hainanese chicken rice. The chicken was very cold. They tasted okay. The food was just okay. Got hot milk tea and cream soup. Cream soup was good. Just hot enough. It had chicken and corn in it.They take debit card and cash.
Great Hong Kong style cafe. We stop by almost every time we're in Richmond. There isn't a specific menu item I could recommend, they are all very good!
3.3 Has been going here for years. Even when it was Golden Award. My parents really like it here even though parking is always a struggle here. Had the Singapore vermicelli, Gai lan and some hot almond milk. Mmm. It’s usually busy and the service has been slower lately but only because they are severely understaffed. But it’s a place that is supposed to be a fast place can end up being 1.5-2.5 hours long. We will still come but I hope they don’t burn out. I’m rounding it up to 4 because I like how they were before.
My favorite go to Cha Chan Teng.
This 2 star is my average rating for the last 10 years - food quality is so so and oily; no customer service as most of us expected; lack of parking (as always), except after 2 am which is their closing time. This is the only choice for a greasy dish other the "legendary" No. 9. Happy New Year!
Don't come here expecting any level of service. Decent food though.
Very friendly auntie staffs there. My friends and I went there quite often at late night, since they open until 2:30 ~ 3:00. Food quality is quite consistent and authentic for what it's worth. Their drinks are also on the same level as their food.If you are looking for a place to have a quick bite after midnight, it's one of the to-go place.
This place has been around for a long time and it’s a popular spot for late night meals. Don’t expect top tier customer service here. The food quality is good and the portions are huge. So come in with a empty stomach or prepare to bring some for left overs
E11 the baked chicken fillet with garlic spaghetti is really sad/mistranslated. They give you shredded chicken (not a single piece) and they throw pieces of garlic into the spaghetti. Would not recommend and was really disappointed as their other dishes can be very decent :(
For what we order, which is selected your own combo of chicken and beef steak with gravy. It was pretty good and the amount was huge! Also, ordered a backed chicken beef bolognese with cheese and they really filled it up to the top. Both dishes were huge and we barely finished it. Both meals came with soup and coffee/tea which is great. The only thing is the hot milk tea is still lacking in flavour and they out too much milk... Nowhere close to HK milk tea.
One of my go to's for a late night meal. Don't expect friendly services. Come here that always satisfying and comforting Hong Kong cha Chen ten food. I got the XO sauces seafood fried rice. Strongly recommend!
deliciousness ! a must go place for authentic home-kong style cafeteria food.
Love going to this restaurant, typical Hong Kong style cafe with loads of options! Literally could come here any time of the day and enjoy a delicious meal! Remember it's CASH ONLY!
Great hk cafe still means with mini sets. Pork chop baked rice is great or I've also tried their bbq duck fried rice. Drinks are made well. Lots of tea flavor and perfect amount of sugar.
Good food for decent prices especially since they have specials after 9pm as mentioned in other reviews. Went here because it is open late. Parking is hard basically have to get lucky since the small parking lot serves so many restaurants. Service was okay/a bit slow you have to really get their attention as they are walking by or they won't stop to ask if you need anything. Free drink with the meal but you might have to wait for it, I was almost done with my meal before the drink came. If you can get here without driving, and have time to spare/want to take your time at night, I would recommend this place.
Generous portion at reasonable price. Fast services. Limited parking
Great place for a quick and simple hk style breakfast. I got the pan fried xo turnip cakes with luncheon meat and congee and it was delicious.
Place was clean. Servers were authentic HK style. Food was good. Will return.
Cheap and good! $16 for 3 pieces of meat, drink and soup. Everyone knows this place! This is a super casual HK cafe that serves tons of different Asian and western style food. The ok only bad part is the lack of parking as it shares a lot with like 6 other establishments.
Reasonably priced, good quality Chinese food in cafeteria like atmosphere
A Cantonese style restaurant located on Alexander Road. Price is very competitive with other Cantonese style restaurant in Richmond. Their portion is slightly smaller compare with others but the food quality is better. Free parking available.
9A...my go to! Alleluia closed so now this is my late night food place. No.9 is solid as well but these places are a dying breed!
I ordered chicken rice as shown on photo. To my surprise, chicken was very tender and good portion too. I had to give a 5-rating.
An average Hong Kong style Chinese Restaurant. Big potion and taste okay. I give 3.5 instead of 4, because sometimes it's hard to find the parking.
They do get busy and seem understaffed most of the time, but they do remain courteous and efficient though. The must try for you guys is the cream soup, it is so rich and taste exactly the way I've had it more than 40 some years ago back in HK. I simply can't find any other better place in Richmond. Parking can be tough at times though.
This restaurant serves Hong Kong style cafe food. The restaurant is decent size and plenty of elbow space. However, it cannot be said for its limited parking lot. During peak meal times it would be difficult to find parking here unless you’re lucky. Alternatively there is a new pay parking gravel lot at the corner or street parking. Even street parking is limited on Alexandra Rd. I would have given them another star but due parking availability a atar was deducted. Back in the restaurant, there were only 3 servers on the day I was there so there were some waiting time. Food quality is ok but portion was small for the bowl of soup.
Very good love the teas will be back again ❤
My go to place when I'm craving hk style food. There are so many options on the menu. I generally like to come from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. or after 9:00 p.m. since they have the minisets that are worth it. This restaurant has your classic dishes to Western dishes. My absolute favourite dish has to be the baked seafood rice dish. I never get sick of getting this dish. They definitely pack it with seafood!Service has always been pretty good for me. There was one time that they forgot about my friend and I because we were tucked away from the line of vision. We eventually got their attention and were able to order. The cold lemon tea is what I always get. Just tastes great!
Nice late night place for fast Chinese food. Has a vegetarian section on menu too
Good quality food, with decent portions for the price. Tried their baked spaghetti Bolognese, and it was very yummy, with a generous amount of meat! Their vegetable borscht is not bad either.
Decent hk cafe. Very very generous portions can definitely share for two or one big eater. Taste is decent, better than most hk cafe.
great late night eats
decent food and prices but don't expect good service is to be expected been like that for years
Authentic Hong Kong style. On weekends I always try to get there before 12pm or it could be quite hard to find parking. I love their curry beef brisket and baked rice with pork chop. Cold lemon tea is my go-to drink. Highly recommended!
Absolutely a stable for me and a go-to place for Hong Kong style quick meal. The baked dishes are highly recommended and I would definitely invite friends to go
My uncle brings me there. Service is very good staff very nice. A lot of people there. There has all different food you can choose, there has bigger size or mini size depend at the time. Big size and small size only $ 3-4 different they come with soup and drink. Taste is very good, drink is perfect. Food just like big Restaurant cooking, I'm surprise. All most same price was eating in food court. I'm very impress food and service there. I love there to eat 👍😂.
Standard hk cafe fare. Just don't go in expecting excellent service or beautiful plating and you'll be satisfied with the comfort food staples like beef fried noodles and curry chicken rice.
Our go to Hong Kong style cafes. Price and quality are great. Service is quick and nice compared to most joints.
Food is a pretty good and at a reasonable price. It was one of my go-to's until one day after departing a long flight from YVR, one of the servers told me "You must leave a tip".
Food and service was okay. The milk tea was slightly watered down.
No need to add extra for cold drink. NICE
Nice restaurant for late night dinner. We hung out till almost eleven, felt hungry and my friend recommended here. It was a surprise cuz the food was better than expected. It was quite busy this late. Parking was limited. I ordered the steak combo, nice price, the steak and the sauce taste really good. I wish they have more servers, since there's only one server serving the whole restaurant, taking order and do the cleaning when we first came. Would come again for sure!
Most of the meals range from ~$10 to ~$15. The "All Day" meals came with your choice of drinks and soup. The dishes came out quick and they were delicious.I felt that the servers could be a bit more accommodating and communicative but hey, you can't eat service.
Hong Kong style restaurantLots of food options for a good priceThe restaurant can seat many, however the people working to the ratio of seats does not appropriate. Even so, when you do get service, it's good. With the all day sets menu, and daily soup and a drink is included
Good value and nice food. The fried rice and noodles are very good an authentic Chinese
Open late into evening is best feature. They serve Chinese and western cuisine. Food is fresh, tastes good and prices are average. Kinda like a Chinese white spot. They have parking but it's always filled up by neighboring places. Recommend to try and will be back
Pretty decent Hong Kong style cafe with everything you can imagine from the Western dishes to Chinese classics, including all the drinks, like milk tea. Not expensive at all. Cash only. Major complaint would be parking.
